Cowboys and NO

Oh boy... The NFL pre-season football games are beginning! Tonight, the Cowboys are playing NO. Why would anyone want to name their football team "no"? Doesn't sound very optomistic, does it? I have a sure-fire way of knowing who will win the games. This never fails. I watch the first quarter (or the first inning if it's baseball) and I figure out which team has the cutest guys on it. THAT'S the team that will win. I have never, ever been wrong! It's a little more difficult to get a good eye view with football, though, because the helmets get in the way. Usually, all we see is spit flying inbetween the faceguard. (yuck) Why do men do this? And hey guys.... aren't you glad we women don't do it? Is this what keeps the playing field so green?

I am reading a good book. It is called 'Daughter of Fortune' by Isabel Allende. This book was good enough to be placed in Oprah's book club. This is a wonderful author and a great read. What a nice contrast to the last book I attempted! I wonder how those romance novels sell? I wonder who reads that stuff? I wonder what made me try one?

Last night, I got about 3 hours of sleep. I was "nursing" my precious little daughter who never did go to sleep! If she sleeps tonight, then I can sleep. I don't know how she can stay awake like that. Happy, happy, happy. She played through the day and now is all tucked in. Keeping my fingers crossed!
