Off In The Clouds

September is almost gone and I have not (mmmm.... just found a little piece of brownie on my keyboard) written in this blog for over a month! I've been here. I've just been off in the clouds. Have you ever had one of those days? I've had one of those months! I need a vacation from my vacation. Too many Twilight Zone worries!

I went back to the library to check out another book written by my new favorite author, Isabel Allende, and the only other book on the shelf written by her was 'Zorro'. A woman wrote 'Zorro'?!? She's an amazing author, but still.... for a female to write such a manly book is pretty amazing. I didn't check it out as Zorro kind of leaves me cold. I don't know what it is about him. Maybe it's the mask. Maybe I have a sword phobia. Maybe it's the way he jumps on his horse's back from 3 stories up and I always feel sorry for the horse! Something about all that is just a little sad.

It's almost time to get out the Halloween decorations. Halloween is so much fun! For about 15 minutes, that is. I always decorate too soon and by the time the holiday arrives, I'm puking from all the orange and scary stuff. It gets old so fast. This year, I'm going to do something different. Everything will be geared to 4 year olds and younger. It will be magical and absolutely precious. Last year, some of the parents had to leave their little ones in the driveway as the little monsters were too afraid to approach our front porch. The babies still wanted their candy, though! I don't want that to happen again this year. Hey, I can get it scary. Let's see if I can create sweet and precious magic. :-)

Good night, dear world.....
