Actually, I love the rain! I grew up in a sunny, dry, dusty, desserted desert so this is A-ok with me!
Today was pretty good. We didn't go anywhere or do anything. Same old stuff. Natalie slept well last night so I got to sleep as well. Thank goodness for that. Although, I had nightmare after nightmare! Waking up was a relief! Sometimes I have the strangest dreams. If I kept a notebook recording them and if someone else ever read it, I would be placed in a mental institution. That's why I don't EVER write them down! Maybe this is how Rod Serling got his ideas for the Twilight Zone.
Feeling "Betty Crockerish", I baked chocolate chip cookies this afternoon then put potatos in the oven and later fried shrimp for dinner. This dinner was stellar! Sooooo yummy!
Natalie is in bed but I'm not sure she is asleep yet. So, I'll wait awhile until I'm certain I have the green light to go to bed myself. I'm sleepy but kind of afraid I'm going to have nightmares again. They say it's good to read something really pleasant before going to sleep. Watch out for your very last thoughts of the day. I read scripture last night! Nice scripture too .... not the "you're going to hell in a handbasket" kind of scripture.
I just read about Steve Wynn and his 139 million dollar accident a couple of weeks ago. Read article here: http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/10/17/picasso.oops.reut/index.html
He accidently poked his elbow through a Picasso painting! Now, HE is the one who should have nightmares! I am of the opinion that the less you have, the less you have to worry about. However, I'd like to try THAT end of the financial spectrum for a change and see if I'm right about that.
Praying for guidance, opening my Bible, and placing my finger at random on His divine message for me as I drift off to sleep, I found my finger right here.... "Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver; Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph." Ps. 108:8-9
Well, I'm glad we have that straight. I'll sleep really good now. :-)
