Knightley is our precious collie. He is 2 years old, weighs 80 pounds and is the biggest baby on the planet! For the past 2 weeks, he has been doing something strange. When we let him outside after dark, something scares him and he comes running in the house absolutely FREAKING OUT. Even inside the house, he is spooked! He will look up in every corner of the room and flinch at every single movement. It is so strange and so pitiful, that there is no humor in it whatsoever. We were wondering what in the world was going on because this is new for him. Well, last night we found out!
Dan opened the back door to let Knightley outside and something huge was sitting on the ground in the middle of the yard and took flight. It flew up and perched on top of the play system. It was an owl! But not just any owl. It had a wing span of about 3 feet! This monstrous bird is the source of sheer hysteria for Knightley. We have bunny rabbits living in our back yard and I guess that owl is hunting for them. Surely it wouldn't attack Knightley? Would an owl attack a big dog? Poor dear...... Knightley is afraid of the wheel barrow. Imagine this big owl swooping down around him!
Today was a good day. Natalie did not sleep again last night and I didn't sleep either. (4 hrs again) Still, I have been able to function and play with her. This evening, though, I have to say that she is finally dragging..... GOOD. That means she will sleep tonight.
I washed the windows on the house, cleaned and organized around here. Stayed busy. Dinner is cooking. It's a chicken/macaroni/cheese dish and spicy green beans/potatos on the side. A salad would have been good but I am not in the mood to build one! (would you do it for me please?) If only I had Alice working for me. You know.... Alice from the Brady Bunch? She's the one that makes those meatloafs using 5 pounds of hamburger meat. (eeeewwwww gross!)
Bush gave a speech this morning. Same old thing. He isn't saying that he's "staying the course" anymore. He's shaking things up, though, by doing the same old thing just using different words. There's a difference, you know. Man, if only we could vote him and all his fellow zombies out of office. "Yes Master, Yes Master, Yes Master, Whatever You Say Master"....... I wish our President could realize that we can understand English and no matter what words he uses in his sentences, or how cleverly he structures them, we are smart enough to know what he is saying. Talking in circles does not confuse us or throw us off course. It's so depressing watching him walk around the same old mountain over and over again.
God is good all the time. All the time, God is good.
